Education
Completed my Honours Biology with a specialization in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology degree at the University of Waterloo in 2011. During my time at Waterloo I took time to study at the University of Sheffield, a top U.K. bioscience university, for extra courses related to cancer biology not offered at Waterloo. Following that I began my Masters at the University of Guelph in the molecular and cellular biology department where I will be defending my thesis in 2013.
Experience
For two years at the University of Guelph I was a teacher's assistant for biology courses. I was responsible for giving seminars to students, assignments, and as well as aid them in any area of the course that was needed. I have a lot of experience teaching students and know how to explain biological processes to anyone so that they remember it.

Hobbies
I am a huge TV junkie. If there is a popular series on T.V., I've seen it! If I could be a professional dog petter, I would be. I have lived in and traveled most of Europe so if visiting there is an interest of yours, I have tons of advice for you! I have a lot of experience being in university and can give a lot of advice on career paths or general choices that need to be made. It's hard turning an interest into a career and I think there is a lot of misleading information out there for younger students.
