Jonathan H.
Private tutor in Waterloo, Canada
Education
I obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Western University and a Masters in Mathematics from Waterloo University. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Pure Math at Waterloo.
Experience
I have substantial teaching and tutoring experience, including being a TA for 15 different courses at Waterloo University and working as a private math tutor for over five years. Here are the course numbers I have been a TA in: Math 109, 115, 127, 135, 137, 138, 235, and 238; plus PMath 360, 365, and 465/665. I can help you out with a variety of high school math courses and beyond, including eleventh-grade mathematics, Calculus 3, Multivariable Calculus, Intermediate Algebra, Algebra 3/4, and Linear Algebra. I can also go back and review any foundational concepts that are acting as a learning obstacle in your current studies. For instance, students generally need a solid understanding of how trigonometric functions like cosine work before they start worrying about inverse functions like cosecants.
