Hi, I'm Samantha and I'm a private tutor located in Waterloo, Canada. I offer history, reading, and writing tutoring. I also help students prepare for upcoming exams and to develop independent study skills and organizational skills so they are better able to manage their school work independently. Private tutoring sessions provide structured academic support while also allowing for the flexibility to focus intently on the academic needs of the student. I have been a tutor for the last few years and have helped students at all levels with reading and writing skills, organizational skills and preparation for studying and essays. I have worked in multiple classrooms with students, as a student teacher. I want to be a tutor because I love working with students and helping them achieve their goals, and I hope to one day become a teacher.

Hobbies
I am interested in reading and writing, especially anything to do with British history. I do a lot of gardening and in my spare time, I work at a garden center. I enjoy cross country running as well as recreational swimming. I am currently a part of a reading program for young students on Saturday mornings, where kids learn how to socialize with others and read new and exciting books. I am also a general member of the Ecohawks at Laurier, where we help to make the environment a better place!
