Hello, my name is Willy and I am a student at the University of Waterloo. I just finished my 3rd year of studying history. I will also have a minor in classical studies and ancient and medieval philosophy. By the end of my undergrad I will have my Honors Medieval History degree. I would like to apply for my masters at either the university of Waterloo or Toronto.
Experience
I used to tutor my cousins for free when they were younger for 2 years. I want to be a tutor because I am very patient with kids and I enjoy teaching. It is a very rewarding feeling being able to help someone understand something that they have been stuck on or just teaching them new things! This is why I also want to apply for my masters in the future and eventually become a professor. I also used to teach chess to kids because I played a lot when i was a kid and children and generally interested in the game when they are younger. Additionally I used to help out at hockey training camps and helped children who were interested in hockey learn how to skate. I write many essays for my degree so English/Writing/spelling/grammar and I can even teach Latin if one may be interested.

Hobbies
I was an avid chess and hockey player when I was younger. It has always been a constant juggling act between these two things and school. I am a part time server in Stratford, Ontario and the idea of tutoring dawned upon me just as I finished writing my exam. Many skills I have learned in my life are very applicable to tutoring. Being understanding, creative, cooperative and good communication skills are very important to being able to teach someone else and I have these personal traits. I look forward to tutoring and it should be a lot of fun!!
