Education
I have been in and out of school since I graduated from secondary school in 1998. I am entering into my last year at Wilfrid Laurier University with a major in History, and a minor in English. I have accrued a number of credits over the years in various academic discplines, but have yet to graduate because of having to meet specific History requirements.
Experience
There are two things I wish to address because I feel they serve as "qualifications" for my working as a tutor: first, I intend to go to teacher's college once my undergraduate degree is finished. I had initially wanted to pursue a master's in journalism, but given some of my life experiences, I felt that teaching would be a more effective way of trying to inspire change in the world. That brings me to my second point of interest, specifically, the time I spent in Thailand working with streetchildren. This is significant because in opening my eyes to the gross disparities that exist in our world, it made me more aware of how fortunate we are at home, but how ignorant we are when it comes to the rest of the world. Children bring hope to the world; through education we have the power to invoke change. Children are the vehicle of that change.

Hobbies
I am an active person by nature. I struggled at times as a young person because I felt imprisoned by homework. I would much rather have been outside playing than being forced to sit at the kitchen table and do my grammar, math, science homework, etc... I love the outdoors, so I engage in activities such as backpacking, kayaking, hiking, bicycling, running, and various sports.
