I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo. I also earned both my M.ASc in Civil Engineering and my Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
Experience
I have been working as a private tutor, a teaching and course assistant for undergraduate courses, and as a tutor at a local learning centre. I have also obtained 2 years of professional work experience in a variety of industries (from private consulting firms to government ministries) through co-op jobs. I can tutor both math (Functions & Calculus) and science (Physics & Chemistry) courses in Gr. 7-12, and I am also fluent in Korean. In language lessons, I can help with vocabulary and even teach using simulated immersion techniques tailored to your comfort level. I enjoy teaching and always make sure students feel comfortable in order to increase the benefits they enjoy from our learning experience. I am accessible, encourage interactive learning, engage students to be critical thinkers, and make sure students understand the fundamental concepts before moving on.
